The Best Salsa is tasty and easy to make. This recipe comes together in the food processor in 5 minutes and really is the best! You can make it with fresh peppers for a bright flavor or use chipotles for a deep smoky flavor. Use lime or lemon juice, green onions or sweet onions. This recipe is versatile. What makes it easy is starting with a can of whole, peeled tomatoes. The hard part has already been done for you.
I love heat. Lots of heat. When my kids were little I made this salsa without any peppers and removed half of it from the food processor. I called this “Kid’s Salsa”. Then I put peppers into the remaining salsa. This is an easy way to make a half batch for your kids and enjoy your spicy version too. No one who loves heat should be forced to make and eat mild salsa. It’s not right.
This salsa recipe is great served with your favorite chips. It is also perfect used as a dressing for my Taco Salad or in my Breakfast Burritos.
