Peanut Butter Balls are a real holiday favorite. Coated in chocolate or white chocolate, they are sure to please.
What you need
Creamy peanut butter
Peanuts
Powdered sugar
Butter
Vanilla
Melting chocolates
How to make Peanut Butter Balls
Place peanut butter, chopped peanuts and powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl. Add melted butter and vanilla.
Mix the ingredients together completely.
Using a 1/2 ounce cookie scoop, scoop and place onto sheets of waxed paper.
Roll each scoop into a smooth ball. This recipe will make 70 pieces of candy.
Place a cup of the melting chocolates into a medium bowl. Microwave 1 minute, then stir. Microwave in 30 second increments until completely smooth, stirring after each 30 second increment. As you use the melting chocolate, add additional cups and repeat to melt them. If the melting chocolate becomes hardened, you can microwave it again.
You can use chocolate or white chocolate melting candies.
Dip each peanut butter ball into the bowl. Using a spoon, cover the ball in melted chocolate and drop it back onto the wax paper.
If you’re using white chocolate, you can add red and green food coloring to the white melting chocolates in two different bowls to make red and green. If the chocolate seizes or is very thick when you add the food coloring, add oil until it can be drizzled with a fork. Use a fork in back and forth motions to drizzle half in red and half in green.
