How to make Hot Apple Cider
Hot apple cider is so easy to make. Just pour a half gallon of apple cider into a large saucepan. Slice one orange and add it to the pan. Add about 3 cinnamon sticks and several cloves. Top with grated or ground nutmeg.
Stir the cider and warm over medium heat. When it just starts to simmer, turn it to low heat and let it almost simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Long enough for the flavors to infuse your cider.
You can also make this in your crockpot on low. Especially if you want to keep it warm for a gathering.
This will make 8 cups, or 4 large mugs. Top each mug with an orange slice and a fresh cinnamon stick. Make some today and enjoy!
