When I was a kid, my mom made unsweetened iced tea. But my grandmother, “Granny”, drank sweet tea. Really sweet tea. Granny had a sweet tooth and loved everything sweet. I thought her iced tea was insane. I had no idea that Sweet Tea was a thing. After all, the iced tea at our house was tea, regular tea, not sugared.
I still drink unsweetened iced tea, as does everyone at my house. But I made Granny’s Sweet Tea so that I could use it in Bourbon Peach Sweet Tea. I don’t think my version was quite as sweet as hers!
