What you need for Creamy Ginger Miso Salad

Lettuce

Carrots

Bell pepper

Celery

Cilantro

Cashews

Crispy wontons

Arrange your salad items beautifully in a large bowl or platter.  You can use any type of lettuce you like and any of your favorite vegetables, nuts and toppings.

 

What you need for the dressing

Ginger

Garlic powder

Soy sauce

White miso paste

Tahini

Mayonnaise

Rice wine vinegar

Sesame oil

The real star of this salad is the Miso dressing.  It is simple to make and has the umami flavor you’re looking for.  Add the dressing ingredients to a mason jar and shake.  It’s that easy.

Ingredients
  • For Salad:
  • 4 cups chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell pepper
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cup whole cashews
  • 1/2 cup crispy wontons
  • For Dressing:
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2-3 tablespoons water
Directions
  • Step 1 Wash and chop salad vegetables. Pat dry and arrange in a bowl or platter with nuts and toppings.
  • Step 2 Add all dressing ingredients to a mason jar and shake.
