BLT Salad is the easiest and best tasting salad ever. If you love a good BLT sandwich, you’ll love this salad.
What you need
Romaine lettuce
Cherry tomatoes
Bacon
Eggs
Avocado
How to make a BLT Salad
Start with the eggs. Place 8 eggs into a saucepan and cover them with cold water. The water level should be about an inch above the eggs. Put them over high heat. Once they start to boil, set a timer for 10 minutes and slightly reduce the heat to maintain a boil without boiling over.
After they have boiled for 10 minutes, pour out the boiling water and cover them with cold water. Peel the eggs under a slow stream of cold water and it will help the egg separate from the shell.
Put them in the refrigerator to cool while you make the rest of the salad. You can do this early in the day or even the day before.
Next, fry the bacon. I fry the whole pound of bacon. Many strips of bacon disappear before they make it to the salad.
Wash, chop and spin dry a large head of romaine lettuce.
Slice at least a cup of cherry tomatoes. More if your garden is giving you lots of tomatoes.
Quarter and slice 2 large avocadoes.
You can serve this salad on a platter or in individual bowls as I did here.
Use my Homemade Ranch Dressing to finish this salad. You can also add croutons, nuts, seeds or any toppings you love.

- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1 pound bacon
- 8 eggs
- 2 large avocados
- Homemade Ranch Dressing

- Step 4 Fry the bacon.
- Step 5 Wash, chop and spin dry the romaine lettuce.
- Step 6 Slice the cherry tomatoes in half.
- Step 7 Quarter and slice 2 large avocadoes.
- Step 8 You can serve this salad on a platter or in individual bowls.
